Updating the server

1. Download the new version.
2. Stop the server with Ctrl+C in the console window.
3. Replace the server.exe or server file with the new one. Leave the data folder alone.
4. Start the server and enter your master password.

To see your current version, hover over the colored dot in the panel’s bottom left corner.

Making a backup

All your data is in the data folder.

1. Stop the server so the database is fully written.
2. Copy the whole data folder somewhere safe.
3. Start the server again.

The backup holds your account data. It’s encrypted with your master password, but keep the copy away from other people anyway. Without the master password it can’t be restored.

Moving to another computer

1. Stop the server on the old computer.
2. Install the program on the new one and copy the data folder there.
3. Start the server and enter the same master password.

Renewing the license

The expiry date is on your account page. To extend the license, click Renew there.

The server checks in with the license service regularly over the internet. It keeps working through short outages, with a margin of 72 hours.
