Download the server

From your account

  1. Open your account. If you don’t have a key yet, issue one first.
  2. Under Download the server, click Download for Windows or Download for Linux.
  3. Wait for it to finish. Your browser saves the file to your usual downloads folder.

You always get the latest stable version.

Put the file in its own folder, such as C:\YAAM on Windows or /opt/yaam on Linux. If you downloaded an archive, unpack it there. Inside is the program: server.exe on Windows or server on Linux.

On a VPS without a browser

If your server has no desktop, download the file from the command line. Replace YOUR_KEY with the key from your account.

First find the latest version number. The server replies with a list of releases, newest first. You need the version field of the first release with "channel":"stable":

Then download that version, putting it in place of VERSION:

curl -fLOJ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" https://central.yadt.dev/api/v1/releases/VERSION/download/x86_64-linux

For Windows, end the address with x86_64-windows instead.
