Market

The Steam Market is built into the panel: search for items, check prices, and buy and sell from any of your accounts.

Open Search in the menu. The page has a search box and the tabs Popular, New and Recently sold.

Type a name and click Search to open the results. You can sort them, and clicking an item opens its page.

Open search starts an advanced search, where you can pick a game and set filters and a price range.

The item page

It shows a price history chart with sales volume, current prices, and the lists of buy and sell orders. The buy and sell buttons sit below them.

Items with individual properties, such as weapons, also have an Active listings block further down: separate offers with their own wear and price.

Placing a buy order

The order fills when someone sells at your price.

  1. On the item page, click Place buy order.
  2. Choose an account.
  3. Enter the Unit price and Quantity. The panel works out the Total.
  4. Click Place order.

Steam may require a mobile confirmation.

Bulk buying

Bulk buy places orders from several accounts at once.

  1. Tick the accounts, or click Select all.
  2. Choose how the Price is set:
    • Fixed unit price: the same price on every account;
    • Market ± %: the panel takes the highest buy price, the lowest sell price or their median, and shifts it by the percent you set.
  3. Choose the Allocation, meaning how the purchase is split:
    • Drain wallets: each account buys as many as its balance allows;
    • Fixed quantity: every account buys the same quantity, and an account that can’t afford it is skipped;
    • Fixed budget: every account spends up to the same limit;
    • Target total: a shared total is split across accounts by Equal, Proportional to balance or Richest first.
  4. Click Preview. The panel shows how much each account will buy and for how much.
  5. If it looks right, click Place orders.

The Status column shows why an account was skipped, such as an existing order or too little money.

Buying a listing

If the item page has Active listings, click Buy on the one you want. In the window, choose an account, check the Total with the Steam fee, and click Buy listing. The money comes out of the selected account’s wallet.

Selling

  1. On the item page, click Sell items.
  2. Choose an account. The panel only shows items with this name that aren’t listed yet.
  3. Enter an amount under You receive or Buyer pays. The buyer pays about 1.15 times what you receive, with the difference going to fees.
  4. Click List for sale.

You can also sell from the inventory.

Listings

The Listings section shows everything you have on the market.

The Sell tab holds items you’ve listed, and the Buy tab holds your buy orders.

The account filter narrows the table to one account. With a filter on, Sync filtered account reloads all of that account’s listings from Steam.

The ⋯ menu on a row has actions for that listing:

  • Synchronize reloads this account’s listings;
  • Remove listing takes the listing down.

Next: settings.
